Each of these is a separate web service or a separate paid program today. MediaBastion puts them in one window, runs them offline, and lets you chain them over a folder.
Any-to-any conversion
279 image formats in and out, including HEIC, AVIF, JPEG XL and camera RAW. Video and audio through an LGPL build of FFmpeg: MP4, MKV, MOV, WebM, MP3, FLAC, AAC, Opus and the rest. Drop a folder, pick a target, done.
Background removal, offline
An AI model that runs on your PC removes backgrounds from photos and product shots. No credits, no watermark, no upload. Works on one image or a thousand.
Compress to a size
Say “100 KB” for a passport photo or “16 MB” for a WhatsApp video and MediaBastion finds the best quality that fits. It tells you what it changed to get there.
Metadata: read, strip, write
See every EXIF, IPTC and XMP field, including the GPS position. Strip it from a whole folder before sharing, or write copyright and captions in bulk. Every job ends with a proof report.
Rename by date, fix time zones
Name files by the date they were taken, not the date they were copied. Repair the hour that shifted when the camera was on the wrong time zone, across a whole trip.
Date stamps and watermarks
Stamp the date onto photos, add a text or logo watermark, in bulk, with the position and opacity set once. Originals kept.
Video jobs without the re-encode
Trim by cutting on keyframes so nothing is re-compressed. Video to GIF with a size limit. Extract the audio track. Convert voice notes from WhatsApp and Telegram to MP3.
Offline transcription
Turn a recording, a voice note or a video into text with timestamps, on your PC. Subtitle files for videos. Nothing is sent to anyone.

Paste a YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo, TikTok or X link: see what it is, fetch the video or just the audio, take the captions the site already has, or transcribe the speech in any language and save the transcript as SRT, TXT, Markdown or Word. On your PC, through the public-domain yt-dlp tool downloaded on request; fetch only what you have the right to keep.
