Buy the developer a chai

Every product in the WinBastion family is free, with every feature, for everyone, and stays that way. WinBastion is a micro-tech unit of EBITA.AI funded by the people its products helped: you pay whatever you want, and that is the only revenue model. If one freed some space, sorted out your statements or got your team talking, a tip of any size is the thank-you that keeps it going.

Three ways to tip

In India · UPI, cards, netbanking

Tip in rupees

Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, any UPI app, or a card, through a Razorpay or Cashfree payment page where you decide the amount. Settles in rupees; the page stores nothing about you beyond the receipt.

₹99 · ₹249 · ₹499 · any amount

Anywhere · card or PayPal

Tip in your currency

One-off or monthly, through Ko-fi. Ko-fi takes no fee on one-off tips, so almost all of it arrives.

$3 · $5 · $10 · any amount

Developers · GitHub

Sponsor on GitHub

What a tip pays for

  • Codec licences, so MediaBastion can read and write the formats that are not free to ship.
  • A code-signing certificate, so Windows SmartScreen stops warning about the installer.
  • The website, the domains and the small servers behind the downloads and the connected products.
  • The developer's time on the next features (Update Guardian, Settings Keeper, the Timeline, Scam Shield) and the next free tools in the family.

The whole model is explained on the homepage under How a micro-tech company survives. The short version: there is no price list, you pay whatever you want, and if 1 in 200 users tips the price of a chai, the family keeps growing.

The supporter badge

Every tip gets a thank-you email with a supporter code. Paste it into Settings and the app shows a small supporter badge in the top bar and your name (or initials) in About. That is all it does. It unlocks nothing else, because nothing else is locked: every feature is free for everyone, the code is never checked against a server, and the app never phones home to see whether you paid. Lose the code and we will send it again.

Two promises

Features are never locked behind tips. Tipping never gets a nag screen: a tool may ask once, quietly, after it has done something useful, and “never show again” means never.

A word on the wording

Tips are voluntary payments for the software you already have, not donations to a charity. That is how they are receipted and taxed in India, and it is why the Terms and the Refund Policy describe them that way. A receipt is sent for every payment by the payment provider; we never see your card or bank details.

Companies and IT shops

If Bastion tools run on more than a handful of PCs you manage, a sponsor tier with your logo on this page is available. Write to mustafa@ebita.ai.
