What it is

ChatBastion in a paragraph

ChatBastion runs open language models on your own hardware and keeps every conversation on your disk. Ask it about your documents, draft and rewrite text, summarise long files, and switch models depending on the job and the PC. Nothing is sent to a server, and there is no monthly fee.

Offline firstWorks with the network cable unplugged. Any connection it makes is listed and optional.

Every change undoableAnything it changes is journaled with its previous state and can be put back.

No telemetryNo account, no analytics, no crash reporting. Nothing about you leaves the PC.

Pay whatever you wantFree to use. If it helps you, tip what you think it is worth. No paywalls, no feature ever switched off.

Windows 11 Home includedTested on Home edition first; anything that only works on Pro is labelled.
