What it is

ClipBastion in a paragraph

ClipBastion remembers everything you copy, lets you pin the snippets you paste every day, and cleans up text on the way out: strip formatting, change case, fix line breaks. Images pasted from the clipboard can go straight to a file. The history stays on your PC and can be cleared with one key.

Planned for the first release

  • Searchable clipboard history for text, images and files
  • Pinned snippets and groups, with a hotkey to paste any of them
  • Transforms: plain text, upper and lower case, trim, join lines, remove tracking from links
  • Paste an image as a PNG or JPEG file into any folder
  • Excludes password managers and anything you mark private
  • Local only; encrypted at rest

What ClipBastion will and will not do

Offline firstWorks with the network cable unplugged. Any connection it makes is listed and optional.
Every change undoableAnything it changes is journaled with its previous state and can be put back.
No telemetryNo account, no analytics, no crash reporting. Nothing about you leaves the PC.
Pay whatever you wantFree to use. If it helps you, tip what you think it is worth. No paywalls, no feature ever switched off.
Windows 11 Home includedTested on Home edition first; anything that only works on Pro is labelled.
