What it is

FileBastion in a paragraph

FileBastion opens Markdown, PDF, text, HTML, Word, images, fonts, audio and video in tabs and edits Markdown and text in place. It converts between more than a hundred formats: Word, OpenDocument, RTF, EPUB, PDF, Markdown and HTML; CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, TOML, Excel and SQL; every common picture format, PDF pages to pictures and pictures to PDF; audio and video; zip, tar and 7z archives; subtitles, fonts and text encodings. It finds the route by itself, tells you what is lost on the way, and never touches the original. Select many files in the sidebar to copy, move, zip, share or convert them in bulk, keep Favourites, and have documents read aloud in natural voices in nearly any language, resuming where you stopped. It never uploads your files.

Tabs with a folder tree, search and recent files; Ctrl+W / Ctrl+F4 close a tab
Code view: raw and coloured panes for 40+ languages, JSON pretty-printed
HTML view: source, split and preview
Image viewer: previous / next, thumbnails, EXIF and GPS, zoom and rotate
